“We believe that living a healthy and happy life is something that should be experienced by everyone, and that the moment you choose to move your energy your transformation of a better life begins.” Spring Forest Qigong
It’s a fact: We will all age. We can age in good health, or we can suffer from lots of challenges. It often depends on your commitment to your inner and outer health, and there are always tools to help us age more gracefully.
I’m a devoted fan of the ancient practice of qigong. There are a few reasons: It brings together healing for the emotions, the body, and the whole person. It’s also a branch of Chinese Medicine so you know it’s a powerful form of self-healing. I practice every day. It’s also energy medicine based on unconditional love, and we are learning that, as we are vibrational beings, the more we practice in energy the more we will shift into heart coherence.
“Love is the strongest force the world possesses, and yet it is humblest imaginable.” Mahatma Gandhi"
There are many benefits. It’s a holistic system focused on breathing, mindful movement, meditation, and uplifting emotions. I share Spring Forest Qigong which focuses on the alignment of body, mind and heart.
Let’s talk to the benefits:
These exercises are gentle yet powerful. They help with strength and balance and flexibility. This helps reduces any risk of falls and injuries.
The deep breaths and deliberate movements promote relaxation in the body and mind. We need this in our fast-paced world. We are often in our heads too much.
The mindfulness aspect helps promote more focus and mental clarity. Studies have shown that Qigong improves memory and overall cognitive function.
A deeper connection with nature. We work with the five elements, and we are all connected to nature.
Social connectedness: Our healing communi-qi brings people together for healing and community. It’s appropriate for both introverts and extroverts as cameras can be on or off.
Qigong has survived the test of time. Anyone can do it. No experience required. Just an open heart and I promise you will feel just a little bit happier too.
Steffi Black is a certified Spring Forest Qigong practice group leader and trainer. She is also a proud Love Radiator.
